Often when you access a particular page on the Internet, this page is cached so that next time you go there, your browser doesn't have to search for it. This makes browsing quicker. Sometimes though, it is not in your interests as changes have been made to this page that you do not see. If you want to force your browser to look for the page instead of relying on it's cache, we advise that you clear this as follows;
This differs slightly depending on the browser you are using;
In Google Chrome:
- In the top right of the screen click on the three vertical dots
- Select 'More Tools'
- Select 'Clear browsing data'
- Ensure the time range is set to 'All time'
- Ensure the box next to 'Cached images and files' is ticked. You might want to clear browsing data and cookies as well.
- Click Clear Data
In Microsoft Edge
- In the top right of the screen click on the three horizontal dots
- Select 'Settings'
- Select 'Clear browsing data'
- Select 'Choose what to clear'
- Ensure the time range is set to 'All time'
- Ensure the box next to 'Cached images and files' is ticked. You might want to clear browsing data and cookies as well.
- Click Clear Data.
Now try to visit the page you were accessing originally whether that be via a link or typing in the url.
