If you have entered Statutory Assessments into Sonar, an Admin user can create an export to transfer this into your MIS.
This has the following benefits;
- First and foremost this data will be in your MIS for sending pupil information to their next schools,
- You can create your Data Returns; EYFS and Phonics for your LA / KS2 Teacher Assessments for The Primary Assessment Gateway, from your MIS,
- You can create reports to share this data with parents from your MIS.
Please note this feature has been released as a BETA version - while it is ready for use and been tested against DfE published criteria, we know there are nuances to how different MIS interpret this when designing imports so we expect to come across scenarios that we were unable to test. If you encounter any issues while uploading files to your MIS please do let us know by emailing sonartrackerhelp@junipereducation.org and we will prioritise investigating and updating the software as necessary.
We will communicate any issues and associated resolutions we become aware of on our 🔧 Status Updates page.
To create your CTF
Select School > Exports > Statutory Data Export to MIS (Only Admin users and Tracker Owners see this)
Click on 'Queue Export' from the data type you wish to export;
Sonar will automatically use data from the relevant Year Groups.
You will receive a notification, within a minute or two in your inbox, either
- Confirming the file has been generated so you can download it and import it into your MIS (Please refer to guidance from your MIS provider regarding importing assessments from a CTF), or,
- Advising you there are errors that need resolving;
You have the option to download an error report detailing why the export could not be created, allowing you to make some changes before creating a new CTF;
Critical errors - due to the nature of these it will not be possible to create a CTF until these are resolved.
Warning errors - are shared for information. You decide whether it is appropriate to add information to Sonar and recreate the file or create the file with those children missing.
Please be aware:
- The Phonics data return contains the data for all Year 1 children and those Year 2 children that did not achieved the standard last year
- Some codes eg D for Phonics may not import into your MIS so please check if this applies to any of your children and update manually in your MIS accordingly
- As Sonar automatically selects the appropriate Year Group(s) for each export, this feature has been designed to be used within the academic year that the data you are exporting relates to. Once these children move into the next year group, the file created will include the children now in those year groups, who may not have data yet.
