Assessment data should only be manually entered once and then imported electronically into other systems. Choose what works for you – enter KS1 data manually into Sonar and then export to your MIS or vice versa.

To enter KS2 Teacher Assessments
Assess > Statutory Assessments > Key Stage 2
Select Year Group and/or class
Select Teacher Assessments from the drop down menu
Enter Teacher Assessment Judgements;
Just type in the codes; EM, PK1, PK2, PK3, PK4, PK5, PK6, WTS, EXC, GDS, A

This data can now be exported as a CTF for importing into your MIS - Exporting Statutory /End of Key Stage Data from Sonar - BETA version - where you can create your Data Return for submitting on the Primary Assessment Gateway as well as produce a report to share the data with parents.
To enter KS2 Test Scores
We advise Importing KS2 results from the Primary Assessment Gateway
If however you prefer to enter these manually;
Assess > Statutory Assessments > Key Stage 1
Select Year Group and/or class
Enter scores for each paper;
The conversion tables will be programmed into the software shortly after they have been published by the DfE. For analysis we advise using the End of Key Stage 2 Outcomes report. The Assessment Conversion Matrix Report allows you to view KS2 assessments against different starting points.
Please Note: We advise that you also review the summative assessment judgements for these children for Summer 2 as these will be used Progress reports such as Summative Progress Analysis Report.
