Key Stage One Widget
Purpose
Accessed from the Statutory Dashboard in Sonar Multi-School, the Key Stage One Widget highlights the percentage of eligible pupils across your Trust who achieved Expected or Greater Depth, or Greater Depth by the end of Key Stage One for the subjects Reading, Writing, Mathematics and all three combined (Reading, Writing and Mathematics).
Information: From the Academic Year 2023-2024 there has been no statutory requirement to carry out an end of Key Stage One pupil assessment in terms of their working at level (Expected / Greater Depth), however, they have been included in this dashboard as many schools still report internally using this measure.
Tip: Details of the Statutory Data Eligibility Rules that govern these measures are provided in a sub-section below. This will help you to understand which pupils are included in these measures and how the measures are calculated.

Statutory Data Eligibility Rules
The following rule apply to determining which pupils are include in the calculations above using their data stored in Sonar Tracker.
Cohort
Year Two pupils (excluding Leavers) for the Current Academic Year.
Eligible Pupils
- Individual subject headline measures - A pupil (not leaver) is eligible if they have any result in the associated TA (Teacher Assessment) Subject within Sonar Tracker.
- Combined headline measures - Eligibility should be calculated based on the number of pupils (not leavers) who have any result recorded in Mathematics TA (teacher assessment), Reading TA and Writing TA in Sonar Tracker. TA data is used, not the raw scores / scaled scores as TA results form the headline figures. It's important to note that Science TA does not count towards combined.
Not Eligible Pupils - Individual Subjects
- A pupil with no result in the subject for raw scores / outcomes or TA (these pupils have no assessment data recorded against them in Sonar Tracker).
- A pupil with at least one result in raw score or outcome but not in TA (these pupils have missing assessment in Sonar Tracker).
Not Eligible Pupils - Combined Subjects
- A pupil with no results in any of the three subjects for raw scores / outcomes or TA (these pupils have no assessment data recorded against them in Sonar Tracker).
- A pupil with no results in any of the three subjects (Reading TA, Writing TA, Mathematics TA) but does have raw scores and outcomes (these pupils have missing assessment in Sonar Tracker).
- A pupil with at least one result in one TA subject, but not all (these pupils have missing assessment in Sonar Tracker).
Example
There are 30 pupils (excluding Leavers) in Year Two with data stored in Sonar Tracker:
- 27 pupils have results in all 4 TA subjects.
- 1 pupil has no data in any Key Stage One assessment (no data in raw scores, outcomes or TA).
- 1 pupil is missing results in all 4 TA subjects (but does have raw scores and outcomes in Reading and Mathematics).
- 1 pupil is has a result in Reading TA and Writing TA but is missing a result in Mathematics TA and Science TA.
