Scores Range allows users to set the range of scores for tests in use within a school for individual subjects and years. It is linked with Scores ARE which sets the expected test score. Both need to be set up before Test Scores can be properly entered and analysed.
To set up the Scores Range login to an Admin account - go to the School section - select Scores Range.
The current Score Range is shown. The drop down menus for Academic Year, Subject and term can all be adjusted as required.

The scores can be edited by selecting the Edit Current Settings button in the top right corner of the screen. When selected the Update Score Range values can be amended to meet the needs of the school. Typically, these will use the concept of scaled scores, which currently are ranged between 85 and 115 in KS1 and 80 and 120 in KS2, with 100 being seen as meeting the required standard. |
Typically, the from and to range will be 0 and 120 although this can be adjusted for individual Subjects, Years and Terms as appropriate for the school setting.
By selecting the different Subjects, Year groups and Terms the score range can be quickly set.
Typically, the range will be the same for each Subject, Year and Term but they can be customised as required by users.
Once the appropriate values have been entered select Update Range to complete the process.
