Import EYFS, Phonics, KS1 and KS2 Statutory Data into Sonar to analyse at the time and track from later.
EYFS, Phonics and KS1
Statutory data should be entered into your Management Information System (MIS) in order to submit the data to your local authority. Do not record the statutory data manually in Sonar, as this will create duplicate work.
Once all of the data is in your MIS, create one, whole school, General CTF and import this into Sonar to transfer all this data in one go.
Importing Statutory Data from a CTF
NB: If you particularly want to import only one assessment type such as EYFS, as the others aren't ready then of course you could just import this and then do the others later. The advantage of one whole school CTF is that it will fill any gaps you may have where children joined your school late.
KS2
Once the Year 6 test results are available on the Primary Assessment Gateway (PAG) in July, you can either import this into your MIS and include Yr 6 in your General Whole School CTF, or,
if you want to import Year 6 separately, import the 'All results and TAs' xml file from the PAG into Sonar by dragging and dropping or uploading it to the 'Send a File to Sonar' area on the School page;
Â
Then choose KS2
Uploads are imported every 10 minutes.
You can see what statutory data is in Sonar by selecting
Assess > Statutory Assessments;
Then select the appropriate year group and use the dropdown menus to choose the type of assessment; test or teacher assessment as appropriate.
Statutory Assessment data can be analysed in the following reports;
